Readers with a baby under 12 months old rejoice! After a sell-out first edition with Jason Manford earlier this year, Bring Your Own Baby Comedy returns to the North with a special Christmas show.

Not only does a welcome hour of quality live comedy at The Lowry  beckon, no late nights are needed meaning much needed shut-eye can be had. Huzzah.

Headliner Robert White (uproarious runner up of Britain’s Got Talent) is joined by Jen Brister (Live At the Apollo and mum of twins), Carly Smallman (star of the Rob Brydon Show) and Alyssa Kyria (The Funny Mummy).  Expect all the laughs and an “awesome night out during the day” at The Lowry with soft flooring, toys and the ultimate in relaxed atmospheres for babies to sleep, play or explore all over the shop.

Bring Your Own Baby Comedy was started by pals and professional comedians Carly Smallman and Alyssa Kyria two years ago after new mum Alyssa suffered with post-natal depression. With a mission to create shows to help parents get out of the house and get laughing, Bring Your Own Baby Comedy was born in a room above their local pub.

Now with 18 venues across the country (with The Lowry the first in the North) they’ve obviously got a magic formula, no doubt in part that the comedy performed is usual, uncensored adult material (hence the 12 month age limit before any unintended memories are formed).

The Lowry has a strong comedy programme across the year so it’s great that bleary eyed new parents of Salford, Manchester and beyond don’t have to miss out on the rambunctious thrills of a live show.

And fear not. There’s time to start practicising those pelvic floor muscles that may have been weakened folks!
