South Square Gallery welcomes The Ridings: Bradford Working-Class Family Life, Loss & Landscape: 1970s-1990s, an exhibition by Emma Conally-Barklem which gathers a series of photographs, tracing a portrait of a biracial Bradford Family between the 1970s and 90s.

This emotive series consists of photos, letters, personal objects and extracts from the The Ridings, Conally-Barklem’s collections of poems dedicated to her parents.

The display is a moving journey into the past, encouraging the viewers to think about their own personal histories and lean into the nostalgia. The exhibition is accompanied by a spoken word performance event so check out the website for more details.
