Be one of the first audiences in the UK to see this startling brand new adaptation of one of the lesser known Grimm’s fairy tales through puppetry, trapeze, acrobalance, dance and live music in The Met’s newly refurbished, glorious historic building.

Acclaimed French theatre company Compagnie Animotion are renowned for the power of their physical and non-verbal storytelling approach.

Expect an unforgettable whirlwind adventure as you follow the stories of a shy donkey, amiable cat, sleepy cockerel and old sea dog – four aging animals who form amazing friendships through extraordinary escapades, take charge of their futures and ultimately get to live their dreams.

The top notch creative team includes puppets and puppetry direction by Lancashire based Horse and Bamboo, movement direction from Yorkshire’s fine Urban Angels Circus and a dazzlingly clever set.

Aimed at 3 – 7 year olds, we love that this style of theatre is so accessible and that it’s full of all the good things – friendship against the odds, the value of everyone to society, cracking live music and circus wows.
