Manchester favourites Box of Tricks theatre company bring their acclaimed pre-apocalyptic comedy to the Bank Top Tavern in Oldham. Since The Last Quiz Night on Earth premiered at the Welcome Inn, Salford in February, it has received acclaim from both audiences and theatre reviewers. The show is currently embarking on its UK tour and is being staged in many unusual settings including village halls, community centres and local pubs. The show comes to the Bank Top Tavern, Oldham in association with Oldham Coliseum.

If an asteroid was hurtling directly towards the earth, how would you spend your last evening? Local pub landlady, Kathy has decided to host a quiz night. It’s a bit like an inverse countdown to the start of a new year…except everybody’s preparing for the end of the world as we know it. Quizmaster Rav is your host for the evening. As time ticks by, some unexpected guests turn up out of the blue. Bobby is looking to settle old scores and Fran wants that one last shot at love.

With plenty of wit, down-to-earth dialogue and a real-time pub quiz, The Last Quiz Night on Earth is one of our top picks of theatre this spring.
