It can’t be stressed just how great comedy duo The Delightful Sausage are. Made up of Chris Cantrill and Amy Gledhill, individually they’re easily two of the best stand-up comedians in the North, but together, as The Delightful Sausage, they’re an absolute phenomenon. With a recent raft of TV appearances under their belt, including Harry Hill and a ton of highly-rated BBC shows, it’s clear the world at large is catching up and they’ll soon be playing much, much bigger venues than the intimate and wonderful Chapeltown Picture House at Grub.

As well as belly-aching laughs you can expect to be part of comedy history

Tonight’s show is being filmed, so as well as belly-aching laughs you’ll be part of comedy history. A word of warning, the tickets are on the verge of selling out, and might well be completely gone by the time this is published but if not, act quick and bag yourself a seat.

This event is promoted by the always-excellent A Lovely Time comedy production crew, which is slowly becoming one of the leading forces in Manchester comedy, catering for everyone from the classic mainstream comedy fan to some of the most wacked-out weirdness you’re ever likely to come across (as with the recent and brilliant The Jain Edwards Show). Give them a follow on Twitter.

Final word: I’ve seen this show twice before and left with aching ribs each time. It’s isn’t hyperbole to say this is set to be this year’s most unmissable live comedy gig in Manchester.
