Story Seekers IWM North at Imperial War Museum North (IWM North), Manchester 24 October — 1 November 2020 Entrance is free — Visit now

Intrepid adventurers wanted: Get hands-on with real artefacts, discover brave real-life stories and ignite big imaginations. Story Seekers is a free activity running every day throughout the October half term at IWM North. A wonderful opportunity for families to learn about the global effect of First World War and Second World War conflict.

The family-friendly interactive ‘Story Seekers’ sessions offer an insight into conflict, and perhaps one that you wouldn’t glean from a history book. We think that these sessions offer a wonderful way to open a conversation and prompt children to want to find out more about the challenges that shape our past, present and future.

Whether you’ve got just a couple of hours or a day to spare, the award-winning IWM North is always worth a visit. Telling the powerful stories of over 100 years of war, the purpose-built museum comes highly commended in delivering an engaging and educational experience for families of all ages. Be sure to explore the powerful stories behind over 2,000 objects, and make time to head to the extraordinary exhibitions space for the immersive 360-degree cinematic Big Picture Show.

We’re thrilled that the museum has recently opened its doors again – booking in advance is strongly recommended due to limits on the number of visitors at this time and so that physical distancing can be observed.
