Treating us to a much-needed dose of normality, Hulme’s Old Abbey Taphouse is running a free series of Social Sessions – socially distanced parties in their newly-transformed terrace area.

Kicking off the August Bank Holiday, the next session is under the curation of party starters Missile To The Moon, who have invited Bristol-based DJ Amy Amor to take control of the decks.

Amy is the manager of Present Tense, a collective that has stood at the forefront of Bristol’s underground dance music scene for three years. While Present Tense usually specialise in techno, bleak times call for something more upbeat, so at The Old Abbey Taphouse, Amy will be spinning an eclectic mix of house and disco.

To ensure entry to the event, you need book a table via the venue’s website. As per the new social distancing guidelines, there’s a maximum of six people per table, and all should be from the same household.
