Salford Makers swing open their studio doors this October and invite you in to celebrate the launch of their new season of workshops and courses.

Manchester screenprint royalty, one69A, are celebrating the launch of their new website and they’ll be partying the only way they know how, that’s right – you guessed it, with an all-night-long screenprinting session.

Elsewhere, fellow Salford Maker’s WONDERHAUS will be launching their own new website to coincide with a new jewellery collection. Get a march on Christmas shopping and pick up something unique, locally made and beautiful. You can also take advantage of a 20% discount on their new Winter 19 range and there will be sample sales with even further reductions.

Talie Linseed, Leah Witton Prints, HABITS-CORP & Kala MCR round off the Salford Makers crew. They will all be there and offering up some equally healthy one-night-only sample sale discounts too.

There will, of course, be music and drinks too.

Family things to do in the North

Whether you’re after storybook theatre, museum wanderings or illusion-bending play spaces, there’s plenty to keep curiosity ticking through winter and beyond.

A busy image created using generative AI. The image depicts a man at the centre with grey hair and rosy cheeks, surrounding him are fairies that appear to be created in his own image with multiple limbs and unique bodily proportions. Around them are hundreds of vials, microscopes and dated scientific equipment.
Exhibitions

Spring has sprung a wealth of great exhibitions in the North West, from intimate photographic shows to huge installations.

Cinema in the North

There's no shortage of great films out at the moment, whether you're looking for the latest blockbuster, that hot arthouse flick fresh from Cannes or a cosy classic.
