Perhaps it’s the wealth of beautiful countryside and country lanes on its doorstep, or the knee-friendly flatness of its urban centre; but Manchester is clearly a city that loves to cycle. Head to the Rapha Rides Manchester Opening Party for an exclusive film screening about the city’s special connection with the sport, starring local cycling legends; Andy Tennant (part of the Team WIGGINS 2017 squad), Holly Carter (of Manchester Wheelers’) and Alan Mellor (former cycling professional from Oldham). The evening will also include music and a delicious selection of local food and drink in the Clubhouse café, to celebrate the opening of the four-day festival.

Plus: Want to experience cycling side-by-side with Mellor? Join him on a trip out into the Yorkshire Hills on the Sunday. Expect challenging climbs and lengthy anecdotes…
