Manchester Collective: Black Angels at White Hotel
Carmel Smickersgill, Tours & Activities Editor
Manchester Collective is one of the most innovative young ensembles around at the moment. With their considered venue choices and inventive programming, you can expect a dramatic experience from every concert.
This spring they’re bringing George Crumb’s violently thrilling Black Angels to the atmospheric space of the White Hotel. Written for amplified string quartet and augmented with gongs and wine glasses. Black Angels is a tempestuous struggle between two powerful forces with some moments of real serenity en route.
