The log pile at Dunham Massey is situated in the North Park and is arguably one of the best natural playgrounds in the North. With an abundance of leafy shade and outdoor space to run, explore and play games, the log pile brings hours of outdoor fun and fresh air for all ages.

Clamber on, in, over and under the log pile and let your imagination run away – is it a pirate ship or an ancient castle? Will you get eaten by sharks if you topple off a beam? The log pile is brilliant for creative play and fresh outdoor family frolics.

There are large picnic tables in the beautiful natural surroundings of the North Park; being well canopied means it’s the perfect place to settle for lunch. The North Park is the only place in Dunham where you can walk your dog off the lead too.

Why not check out the rest of Dunham’s 300-acre park too? Summer is the perfect time to visit the much-loved deer in Dunham’s Deer Park – watch the deer as they trek out of the deer sanctuary to explore their wonderful surroundings, munch on the greenery or relax in the shade.

A day at Dunham would not be complete without a trip to the Ice Cream Parlour, with frozen delights from Cheshire ice cream makers, Snugburys.
