The team at Manchester Literature Festival are missing seeing the city’s libraries filled with families. So, to fill the gap until things return to normal, they are bringing the Little Reads storytime to Facebook every Wednesday morning.

They’re asking the parents and carers of children 2-6-years-old to have their favourite cuddly toy to hand, and join them online for a fun language development session. Expect storytelling, singing, movement and play. It works best if the grown-ups join in and help the little ones learn by imitation.

Little Reads is a fun, interactive workshop using drama, dance, songs, play and craft to explore children’s picture books. You can join these sessions in person at Longsight, Levenshulme, Moss Side, Central, Stretford, Old Trafford, Salford & Stockport libraries when they are open again.
