Roll up, roll up for a double bill of work in progress comedy shows from two of the UK’s best stand-up comedians: Jordan Brookes and Hannah Platt. It’s at the Kings Arms on the 5th May, and here’s what to expect from your double-headliners:

Jordan Brookes won the prestigious Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Comedy Show at the 2019 Edinburgh Fringe with his hit show ‘I’ve Got Nothing’. He was also nominated for the same award in 2017 and won the Chortle Comedian’s Comedian Award in 2018. He’s also been seen on Late Night Mash (Dave) and Jonathan Ross’ Comedy Club (ITV), plus Jordan’s award-winning stand-up show I’ve Got Nothing was recently released on Amazon Prime for the second season of Soho Theatre Live. He’s received rave reviews from the national press, including The Telegraph: “Keeps the laughs coming… Glorious,” and The Scotsman: “Keeps hitting laughter buttons with precision… Crazily, adorably funny.”

Hannah Platt has made a huge impression in a short amount of time, described as “a voice of a new generation” by The Skinny and “a distinctive voice with something to say” by Chortle. If you like your comedy to lean into sensitive topics with brutal honesty and quick wit, bag a ticket now, don’t dilly dally. She was a BBC New Comedy Awards Finalist, recently wrote and starred in her own Laugh Lesson for BBC Three, and has recently been supporting Kiri Pritchard-McClean on her UK tour.
