International Women’s day is a celebration of all those in our lives who identify as women and the unique qualities women bring to the world. To mark this occasion Z-arts in Hulme are hosting a day of activities, performances and fun. No matter your gender, no matter your age, there will be something for everybody that will have you walking away feeling uplifted and empowered.

Z-arts are fortunate to work with a selection of incredible associated artists based in Manchester as well as having particularly talented staff. There will be performances from some of the female identifying among this list of excellent musicians, dancers and thespians throughout the day. No matter the artform, you can expect feel good, inspirational and powerful performances from these highly talented artists.

There will also be plenty of opportunity to get involved with four activities taking place throughout the day. Whether you want to break a sweat in a drop in dance class, embrace your creativity or feel empowered by the awesome women around you, each element of this International Women’s day is designed to promote equality and creativity. bringing everybody closer together while celebrating the women in our lives.

Z-arts have a year round programme of music, drama and dance workshops. The art centre’s programme varies widely, you can find yoga, music production workshops and contemporary ballet happening in the building on consecutive days. Check out their website for more details and how to get involved.
