Get ready for a magical family adventure at Northern Ballet’s brand-new children’s production, Hansel & Gretel at the Stanley and Audrey Burton Theatre in Leeds this February half-term (15-22 February).

Wander through the enchanted woods with siblings Hansel and Gretel, who lose their way and encounter all sorts of lively and spirited characters! This reimagining of the classic fairytale combines fun and magic, as well as also sharing an important message about the importance of caring for our planet and the environment around us.

Northern Ballet’s children’s ballets are well-known for bringing fairy tales to life through stunning performances, with a focus on amazing storytelling through dance. Bold sets, outstanding costumes, and incredible live music and dance make this an unforgettable experience for all, children and their grownups too!

Northern Ballet’s Hansel and Gretel takes place across the whole of half term, with different show times throughout the day to suit all schedules. Families can also enjoy relaxed or audio-described performances, meaning the experience is inclusive and accessible for everyone.

If you want to see the show but also participate in some interactive activities too, don’t miss the Hansel & Gretel Family Fun Day on 20 February, it’s an entire day of dance, creative arts and learning for children aged 5-7 and their grownups. This will allow you to watch Hansel & Gretel, while exploring the show through movement and play. It’ll be an opportunity to find out more about Northern Ballet and earn their Arts Award Discover qualification in the process. There will be a creative dance workshop and Hansel & Gretel themed craft activities.
