We’re thrilled that Contact Theatre are set to return to their iconic Oxford Road building with a vibrant and thought-provoking reopening programme. Contact’s reopening season launches in October with a Contact Young Company (CYC) performance, Everything All of the Time. Placing young people at the heart of the organisation is what Contact does best – so it only seems right that the CYC should welcome audiences back into the newly renovated Contact building.

Contact Young Company will welcome audiences back into the newly renovated Contact building.

As we step into the new building, a new reality; as we emerge from the darkness of the last 18 months, the CYC asks us to reflect on what has altered, what needs to change and what should happen next. With vibrant movement, Everything All of the Time is a highly visual journey into a new world. Audiences should buckle up and expect a heady 60 minutes of hedonism, love, anger, nostalgia and hope.

Buckle up and expect a heady 60 minutes of hedonism, love, anger, nostalgia and hope.

Directed by Contact’s Artistic Director, Matt Fenton, Everything All of the Time has been described as taking inspiration from Gaika’s visceral and genre-shifting music videos. The company have also explored the intersection of theatricality, movement and photography in Benji Reid’s photography and Bo Burnham’s claustrophobic musical comedy, Inside. With stunning choreography by Yandass Ndlovu, prepare for energetic physicality as the hugely talented CYC get ready to face the music and dance.

CYC are the Contact Theatre‘s renowned, Manchester Theatre Award-winning young ensemble. CYC is made up of young performers, actors, dancers, musicians, stand-up comedians, spoken word artists, DJs and MCs.

Always a highlight to watch, the CYC consistently produces ground-breaking theatre. Everything All of the Time is the perfect performance to kick off the Contact reopening season. Needless to say, we recommend getting tickets early for this trailblazing show.
