Dungeons and Flagons are Manchester’s premier independent boardgames hosts. They have been spreading the joy of board gaming throughout the city, taking over spaces like Seven Bro7hers, The Salutation and Cloudwater tap room for evenings of campaigns, cards and Catan (amongst many, many other games).

At every board games event, players are welcome to turn up on your own and join an in-depth campaign game or bring a bunch of pals and try something totally new to everyone at the table. There will be a collection of friendly hosts around to help you choose what to play and get you set up as well as keeping the room filled with opportunity to play.

Dungeons and Flagons have an in-house games library with hundreds of titles spanning from family classics to the hottest modern games, so you’re bound to find something to enjoy. They bring a highly curated selection of table top fun with them to each venue and act as a sort of board game sommeliers, recommending games they think people will enjoy based on the taste and personalities of the players.

Alongside their regular nights Dungeons and Flagons also host an annual Boardgame Weekender. For two days they extend the fun for a weekend packed with action and gaming. The perfect way to take on a more lengthy campaign whilst also making friends. After the day’s play you can expect appropriately themed afterparties. These have previously featured, game-themed pub quizzes, film screenings and sci fi/fantasy bingo.

Alongside the in person events the team behind Dungeons and Flagons also host the ‘Last Games Night on Earth’ podcast. It’s a must listen for those who are table top obsessed. Each episode has a guest one to chat about what their ideal ‘last games night ever’ would look like.
