Transform Festival is a hidden gem of an arts festival held in Leeds. They curate a line up that easily competes with larger international festivals in the north. Within this year’s line up you can find globally renowned artists such as Dan Daw, Tiran Willemse and Katja Heitmann. They’ll be weaving their work into the fabric of the city, through public art pieces and venue takeovers. Alongside these big international names, it’s brilliant to see some Leeds home grown talent being represented in the form for queer club night organisers Love Muscle. Join them for a party at the end of the world in Doomsday Disco.

Part performance, part clubnight, part post-apocalyptic happening, this event is set to infuse the joy of the dance floor with the nihilism of watching the world burn. It’s a club night woven from skills for fighting capitalism that Queer Communities have been refining since the exclusionary ideology’s selfish birth. Something the queer world has always excelled at, is finding joy amidst harrowing circumstances and Doomsday Disco is no exception to this. Expect big dance energy, post catastrophe couture and to be met with the beautifully hopeful question of what comes next.

Doomsday Disco is also part of The Pleasuredome Must Be Built, this is a series of parties in Leeds raising money to create a permanent queer event space. Tickets for these events are pay as you feel, however, with this goal of creating a sustainable events space in the future, it’s advised to donate what you feel is a fair and affordable amount for what you can be sure will be an excellent party. Love Muscle have a very strong track record of selling out events well in advance so it’s advised to get in early if you want to be sure of a ticket.
