Treat yourself to a world of robotics and digital discovery at the Science and Industry Museum this half term, packed with interactive activities, live demonstrations, and fun, creative challenges for young people of all ages.

Enjoy a hive of discovery at BeeBots, where you’ll learn all about programming the FUN way – buzzing! Feeling lonely? Enjoy some play-time with CHiP the robot dog who will be hanging around the museum, and create your PERFECT robot best friend!

You can also explore the brand-new display, Stephen Hawking at Work, where you’ll learn all about Hawkins life and see real-life objects from his office, including his specially-adapted glasses, and a jacket gifted to him by the creators of The Simpsons.

Next you can head to Power UP where the best video games from the past five decades await you, from Pong to PacmanSonic to Street Fighter and Mario to Minecraft, plus a selection of games created in Manchester.

After all that fun, there’s even more to do! Visit the permanent galleries and displays including the ‘Experiment’ exhibition, the family-favourite interactive gallery. Prepare to engage with science in action and let your curiosity run wild, and challenge your senses and unleash your superpowers. Marvel at the ability to see through walls and put your strength to the test by attempting to lift a car with just one hand.

Hungry after all that sheer fun and learning? Head to the café for some tasty snacks, or sit in one of the picnic areas and bring your own food to enjoy!
