This March, Manchester Jewish Museum is hosting a special one off reading of Beth’s Din a new work-in-progress comedy show about Manchester’s first female Rabbi and her struggle for acceptance. It has been written and will be performed by Ellie Silver, a Manchester based writer, actor and comedian who’s work focuses on women in comedy, cultural identity and mental health. Beth’s Din is a sitcom and written for TV however this reading should be equally enjoyable for Jewish and non-Jewish audiences alike without the magic of TV.
