Following the success of the Octagon’s production of Treasure Island in 2019, A Christmas Carol has been adapted for the stage by the same team, writers Kate Ferguson and Susannah Pearse. Directed by the Octagon’s Associate Director, Georgia Murphy, the heart-lifting show will feature a talented cast of six and a young company of three wonderful actors.

Magical and uplifting, audiences of all ages will delight in watching Scrooge on his path to redemption.

As goodwill flourishes across Victorian England on a snowy Christmas Eve, miserly Ebenezer Scrooge heads to bed with no love or compassion in his heart.

However, later that night, the ghost of his old business partner, Jacob Marley appears to take him on a captivating journey. As he travels through his Christmas past, present and future – will Scrooge be able to see the error of his selfish ways before it’s too late?

Magical and uplifting, audiences of all ages will delight in watching Scrooge on his path to redemption.

Of the production, director Georgia Murphy told us, “A Christmas Carol is such a cherished story for generations of families and I cannot wait to bring this sensational new adaptation filled with music, laughter and plenty of festive cheer, to Octagon audiences this winter.”
