Abbot Hall is one of Britain’s preeminent small art galleries. Set in a Grade I-listed Georgian building on the banks of the River Kent in Kendal, Cumbria. The gallery holds an exceptional collection of 18th-21st century fine art including works by Bridget Riley, Dame Barbara Hepworth, JMW Turner, George Romney (b. 1734) and John Ruskin amongst many others. In addition to this collection, Abbot Hall has become known for its exhibition schedule.
