Fans of the Arts & Crafts movement are in for a treat – Blackwell, the Arts and Crafts House is currently home to Sublime Symmetry a ceramic display of Willem De Morgan’s designs.

The exhibition features 60 pots, tiles and vases from the De Morgan Collection. His work is characterised by intricate designs, often inspired by crafts from the Middle East while his earlier work was influenced by William Morris. The exhibition doesn’t just focus on the aesthetic qualities of his work either but goes deeper, to examine the mathematical principles underpinning these often elaborate creations.
