Formerly known as Fyg, Wood. in Manchester’s northern quarter has undergone a revamp and re-brand: newly decked out with a stunning bar made from blocks of, you guessed it, wood, the former deli has been transformed into a wine bar. There’s still a selection of food on offer, from breakfasts in the morning to sandwiches and deli boards as the day draws on. The food is good and the wine is better – what’s great about this place is the attention paid to both, along with the lovely, dusky atmosphere.
