Hauze

This glitzy Blackpool restaurant certainly plays fast and loose when picking a genre, but that’s not getting in its way from being one of the seaside town’s best dining spots. Dishing up European plates with plenty of fusion flare, on its menu you’ll find an extensive list of sushi sitting alongside a selection of build-your-own burgers.

Made with buns baked daily ‘in hauze’, diners can assemble their perfect combination from a list spanning beautifully charred Aberdeen Angus beef, crispy or chargrilled chicken, fish, grilled cheese, or tempura halloumi.

As for sushi, choices are varied with lots of different styles and fillings to choose from. Stuffed with the likes of prawns, salmon, cream cheese, avocado and cucumber, there are a few surprises to be found. Bacon makes an appearance in more than one roll, including the ‘Manchester Roll’: a combination of cream cheese, cucumber, spicy bacon mix, unagi sauce and masago. Opt for the eight piece rolls if you really want to indulge, or there are set party platters available for larger groups.

If burgers and sushi aren’t your thing, though, don’t worry, because there’s plenty more options still. Other menu highlights include mussels in a white wine and coconut sauce, tuna tartare, stuffed crepes, and minced meat dumplings in a hearty homemade broth – with the small plates section perhaps showing the very best that the kitchen has to offer.

With its striking decor, featuring glimmering chandeliers and deep red sofas, this stylish spot offers a long list of cocktails, from coconut daiquiris to espresso martinis. The elegant ambiance makes it perfect for a girls’ night out, with drinks like amaretto sunsets and melon balls setting the tone for a fun evening.
