Whether you are looking to brighten up a new home, or you’re a seasoned houseplant veteran who knows their calathea from their cheese plants, Flourish has something to grab your attention. This fashionable, Royal Horticultural Society Award-winning houseplant company stocks everything from the Insta-friendly staples to the more weird and unusual varieties necessary for turning your home into a bonafide jungle.

everything from the Insta-friendly staples to the more weird and unusual varieties necessary for turning your home into a bonafide jungle

The company has been running for a number of years now, expanding from a pop-up market stall to a shop in Manchester’s Northern Quarter and then suburban Didsbury, before opening up in Macclesfield. Over that time, they have built up a dedicated clientele (seriously, check social media) of botanical enthusiasts eager to snap up the more extravagant specimens as soon as they drop.

No matter your experience level, Flourish have a large and friendly support staff on hand to help advise on everything from the correct light levels to watering schedules to just why you do need that moss pole. The shop also sells all of the pots, compost and associated accessories that you might need to continue growing with confidence.

At this point we all know the benefits houseplants can bring in terms of helping with mental well being and even in improving the air quality within our homes. But a trip to Flourish can be an inspiring experience in itself. Packed to the rafters with big leaves, indoor palms and trailing vines, it is almost impossible to visit this miniature Macclesfield rainforest without picking up at least a little pot of greenery.
