Penrith has a wealth of eateries from the high street chains to some beautifully located tea rooms and independents dotted around its most historic landmarks. With cuisine and boasting culinary skills from around the globe no matter what your choice you will be sure to be satisfied.
There’s an abundance of quaint tea rooms offering more-ish scones complemented by an array of traditional teas or speciality coffees to keep out the cold in the winter months with pretty seating outside to take in some of the views when the weather warms up.
Lovingly curated menus boast a wealth of local produce and dishes to make you want to linger over lunch or do dinner with friends or loved ones.
Lots of the venues in the town are reliant on takeaway trade now more than ever and so if you can show your support, it will ensure that there’s still a growing and diverse number of places to spend a night out when we are back to normal-ish.
Please remember that if you order through a delivery app they take a proportion of the profit from the restaurant, so it’s always worth calling them direct as so many of the options are offering superbly socially distanced collection facilities and that way you’ll have the knowledge that all your pounds are going into Penrith’s bottom line.
