Set in 1934 Alabama, Harper Lee’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel tells the story of Atticus Finch, a small-town lawyer who encourages kindness and empathy in his children but is pushed to the limits of these qualities when he takes on the case of a Black man accused of raping a white woman. Inspired by Lee’s own childhood, the book has sold more than 45 million copies worldwide and remains one of the most celebrated works of 20th-century literature.
Hailed “unmissable and unforgettable” by Rolling Stone, this adaptation centres the drama around its gripping courtroom sequences – bringing urgency, moral conflict and emotional resonance to Lee’s story of racial injustice and childhood innocence.
Leading a talented cast in this production is Richard Coyle, best known for Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Fantastic Beasts and Player Kings. Coyle reprises the role of Atticus Finch, bringing fresh intensity and humanity to this iconic role, which he first played to great acclaim in the West End in 2022.
