The Nature of Why at The Lowry
Kristy Stott, Theatre Editor
Bursting with passion and upbeat intensity, and blurring barriers between artist and audience, The Nature of Why promises to be an up-close-and-personal dance experience.
Taking place at The Lowry, the performance will feature a vivid live-score by Goldfrapp’s Will Gregory, an ensemble of musicians from the British Paraorchestra and four phenomenal dancers.
This compelling world premiere performance takes its inspiration from the somewhat eccentric curiosity of the Nobel prize-winning physicist Richard Feynman, and his quest to find meaning in the world around us.
A wondrous explosion of dance and live music, The Nature of Why brims with physical beauty and emotion. The stage itself becomes a place of discovery and experimentation, as the audience are encouraged to find their own meanings in the performance.
Commissioned by Unlimited, The Nature of Why is choreographed by Caroline Bowditch, conducted by Charles Hazlewood, and directed by Caroline Bowditch and Charles Hazlewood.
