The Big Issue North are taking their annual music festival The Big Busk online this year, with a host of exciting artists beaming live sets to your living room.

Under normal circumstances, The Big Issue would be gearing up to take their three-day festival to city centre locations across the North West this month. The new abnormal has, of course, changed their plans. Even more adamant about raising funds to dismantle poverty now that their vendors are less able to work, the charity is bringing its biggest ever line-up to a screen near you on 20th June.

On Instagram and Facebook between 12pm and 9:30pm, viewers can tune in to watch live sets by an eclectic range of artists including Manchester’s own Everything Everything and Blackpool’s Karima Francis, who has curated this year’s online event. Also performing are Beans on Toast, Ian Prowse, Ren Harvieu, SELF ESTEEM, Hana Brooks, Ali Horn and Emily Barker and Clint Boon.

The Big Busk at Home is free to watch and it’s non-ticketed. There will, however, be an option to make a donation to support The Big Issue vendors’ return to work, with financial aid also going to those who are still shielding.

The line-up is set to expand over the course of the coming week, so keep your eye on The Big Issue North’s social media for more announcements.
