Specialising in techno, drum & bass, house, reggae and electronic music from across the spectrum, Eastern Bloc positions itself as a record store for ‘the true vinyl purist’. Located on Stevenson Square (within sniffing distance of the excellent Slice Pizzaria), it should definitely be a spot on your list!

On the big day, Eastern Bloc will be stocking many of the electronic-leaning RSD titles. They’ll also be also throwing an 18-hour party, with DJ’s spinning vinyl from 9am to 3am. Sure to get audiophiles hot under the collar, a selection of DJ’s will blast out a range of genres from the store’s brand new Aura sound system and Formula Sound DJ mixer.

If you can’t actually make it down, then don’t worry because all of this will be live streamed by Reform Radio in partnership with Jägermeister.

The staff over at Eastern Bloc tell us that their top three Record Store Day releases this year are:

  1. Fela Kuti & Roy Ayers – Music of Many Colours
  2. Harvey Mason – Groovin’ You / Modaji / Till You Take My Love
  3. Cloud One – Spaced Out: Best of Cloud One
