He remained their keyboardist through each of their many regenerations, holding down their rhythmic experiments for over a decade. A composer in his own right, he will perform works from his 18th solo album, Klavierstücke, at hcmf// 2019. Before his performance, Schmidt discusses the seismic shifts that have marked his career.
