Punk poet, performer and TV personality, you can now add improv pro to Phil Jupitus’ CV.

Achtung! / Acting! on at Kings Arms sees him in character as Vernon Herschel Harley, a 114-year old who died just over a week ago, as well as WW2 U-boat ace Korvettenkäpitan Kurt Schiffer. Yes, a resurrected dead man and a Nazi submarine captain are slightly unusual choices for improv personae…but then again, Jupitus’ career path has been pretty unusual all around – I mean, how many people have opened for Billy Bragg and also starred in a panto adaptation of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?

In an hour-long improvised show Jupitus will take questions from the audience and answer them in character. So, bring along your curiosity and prepare to get up-close and personal with one of Britain’s favourite comic talents (even if he is pretending to be someone else).
