Pen:Chant at PUSH Festival at HOME Manchester, Manchester 19 January 2017 Tickets from £8.00 — Book now

HOME’s annual two-week PUSH festival runs 14 to 28 January, and features visual art, film screenings and over 30 performances, events, panel discussions and workshops by some of the North West’s most exciting and vibrant artists. Representing live literature is Pen:Chant, the regular night hosted by award-winning writer and performer Ben Mellor.

Pen:Chant digs up the best local, national and international acts from the seams of spoken word, comedy, live music, contemporary performance and everything in between, and past acts have included Jackie Hagan, Eggs Collective, Jason Singh and London Poet Laureate Laurie Bolger, host of Bang Said The Gun (on tour next year, and coming to The Lowry in Salford on 13 May – watch this space for more details nearer the time).

For this special event at PUSH Festival, Pen:Chant will be presenting a fully local line-up of the best emerging and emergent artists that Greater Manchester has to offer, across any genre. And as well as established acts, such as poet Louise Fazackerley, an open mic will be available to performers of all stripes. Contact info@penchant.org.uk for a five-minute slot.
