It’s hard to believe how quickly Pancake Day has creped up on us this year. But here it is, and it’s time to celebrate the best flipping invention ever (pancakes) at Tatton Park and Farm this February half term. Pancake Weekend at the Farm is a deliciously sweet experience for families of all ages to enjoy together.

This is your chance to find out all there is to know about everyone’s favourite sweet, buttery and fluffy pancakes and see exactly how and where your pancake ingredients come from. You’ll meet those lovely (and very noisy) chickens whose job is to lay that round-shaped crucial pancake ingredient, and you’ll find out about what they get up to at Tatton Farm.

In the Mill, you will find out all about flour; next, you’ll head to the shippon to collect fresh, glorious milk. After learning some very important lessons in pancake ingredients, you’ll then discover how to actually make a pancake – and you can even decorate your own. But what will you choose to add to your pancake? Lemon and sugar…? Chocolate spread…? The pancake debate continues. Yum. Yum. Yum.

Once you’ve buttered up your pancake-making knowledge and feel you have a sturdy stack of seriously good pancake-making skills, the session will finish with a pancake-flipping competition! But please, kids, don’t try this at home…

All pancaked up and full of energy? Take a stroll around the farm, enjoy the greenery and meet some of the other animals that live there.

Standard farm entry applies for Pancake Weekend at the Farm. Book now to avoid missing out.
