News News News is a television news show made by children for adults, recorded in front of a studio audience and broadcast live on the internet.

Presenting a series of bulletins from the city, the young reporters have worked with artists Andy Field and Beckie Darlington to offer a distinctive news round-up of what is going on right here and right now. Wearing white shirts, ties and serious specs, The young people explore the issues that interest them most. The results are performed live on stage at Contact and broadcast online.

The performance uses the structure of new reporting to enable children to share their view of the place where they live. The piece also offers a rousing reflection on the value of journalism  – examining our trust throughout a period of fake news and aggressive bias.

At a time when there it feels as though there is more news than ever before, News News News explores the purpose of news and its role in shaping the way that we view the world. Intelligent and insightful, the performance also acts as a stark reminder that decisions are being made on behalf of our children’s futures every day.
