My Night with Reg at Lowry, Salford 23 — 25 January 2020 Tickets from £19.00 — Book now

My Night with Reg is a moving exploration of friendship and happiness; love and fragility in the shadow of the 1980’s AIDS crisis. The play is brought to The Lowry, Salford by the Green Carnation Theatre Company.

Set in 1985, in a flat in London, old friends and lovers meet to celebrate new beginnings, without knowing that their whole world is about to change…

Humourous, sad and sweet, Kevin Elyot’s award-winning dark comedy focuses on a group of gay men, their relationships and their connections to the unseen yet magnetic Reg.

In an evening of laughter, heartache and celebration, the razor-sharp wit of Elyot’s writing will be brought to life through a stunning performance capturing the decadence, celebration and uncertainty of 1980’s London.

Manchester-based Green Carnation Company are dedicated to presenting quality theatre which tells queer and LGBTQ+ stories. Following their 2018 sell-out success of The Pride at Hope Mill Theatre, the company are thrilled to bring My Night With Reg to Salford.
