A soundsystem, production house and legendary selectors, Mungo’s Hi Fi will be bringing the fire to The Blues Kitchen this Bank Holiday Weekend.

Formed in Glasgow in 2000, the UK reggae and dub scene would be hard to imagine without Mungo’s Hi Fi. Their four core members — Dougie No Pain, Craigy Wonder, Breezak Bass and Tommy Danger — are all about soundsystem culture, from its Jamaican roots to raves, clubs and festivals, and have been spreading the good word around the world for the last 24 years.

Whether they’re collaborating with vocalists on original albums or playing bass-heavy sets on their legendary custom speakers, Mungo’s Hi Fi bring an uplifting, life-affirming energy to everything they touch, making them firm favourites on the underground music scene.

On Bank Holiday Sunday, they’ll return to Manchester armed with tons of new and classic productions as well as an ever-growing box of dubplates, supported by top-tier soundman, producer, and recording artist Solo Banton, renowned for his vintage deejay style and thought-provoking lyrical content.
