ToGather, which also continues beyond MIF to 3 September, is the work of artist Susan Hefuna. This exhibition uses palmwood constructions (echoing the boxes that dot Cairo’s streets), personal objects, drawings, new digital work and glass cases to create a ‘mental map’ across several rooms in the gallery and parts of the neighbouring Whitworth Park, reflecting on migration and sensations of separation and togetherness.
