Manchester Union Brewery x Bread Flower Supper Club
Dominic Fung
Following last month’s successful event, Manchester Union Brewery has announced its latest Supper Club guest. Local florists and bakers Bread Flower will be taking over the kitchen for a night to share their delicious creations alongside more of the brewery’s award-winning lagers.
After the sourdough wave swept across the country last year, anticipation is high for artisanal goods based around a theme of ferments and flowers.
As well as their locally-famed bread, there’ll be local cheese and pickles and dishes that incorporate beer
Bread Flower’s last appearance at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival drew praise for their New York-style bagels and schmears, as well as challah loaves that you would be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. This supper club is sure to highlight all that they have to offer and more, giving guests a unique experience for the eyes and stomach. As well as their locally-famed bread, there’ll be local cheese and pickles and dishes that incorporate beer in their own unique way. The menu for the night will be a classic 3-course meal plus a beer flight to complement each part.
This perfect pairing will bring to light the beauty of fermentation in food. We take for granted the magic of this seemingly simple process to bring staples of our day-to-day lives to our tables. You can join Manchester Union Brewery in highlighting what fermentation looks like at the highest level on 21st October by picking up a ticket from Skiddle.
