Manky Poets has reverted to its original name of Manchester Poets, but is otherwise unchanged, and still featuring a readaround section in the first half, giving everyone the opportunity to perform, and a guest poet after the break.

This month, it’s the turn of The Quiet Compere, aka Sarah L Dixon, who is back on this side of the Pennines for one night only to launch her new pamphlet The Sky Is Cracked, out on Half Moon Books. Sarah has been published in The Interpreter’s House, Stare’s Nest, Ink, Sweat and Tears, Loose Muse, BOMP 3, YorkMix and Rain Dog among others, and in 2014 and 2015, she took her Quiet Compere set on tour, featuring a 10 x 10 format of 10 minutes by 10 poets and funded by Arts Council England. This is a great opportunity to catch her back on her old stomping ground.

Doors are at 7.30pm, proceedings should be wrapped up by 9.30pm.
