Along with her penchant for taking objects and extracting musical narratives out of them, Hanna Hartman is a seasoned collector of sound. Making use of field recordings and found sounds, she is interested in altering the course and context of what she hears, so that it can be ‘perceived in its purity’. This concert provides a crash course in Hartman’s tape music, showcasing collages of sound that range from quiet introspection to full-blown cacophony.
