Whether you’re spending Valentine’s Day with your love or celebrating Galantine’s Day with your friends, Ember & the Vixens have got you covered.

Bringing all the Valentine’s Day sass and a heady dose of female empowerment, the special ‘Valentine’s Vixens’ are back with their popular adults-only variety night this February. Expect the glorious Kings Arms to be transformed into a fabulous cabaret den for one night only. Glamorous, sparkling and intoxicating, Ember & the Vixens are set to bring a chocolate box of dazzling burlesque, enchanting music and sensational spoken word – all beautifully tied up with themes of romance, anti-romance and broken hearts.

With live music filling the air, and glitter and sequins a-plenty, the world of showbiz will be unleashed on The Kings Arms. As always, Ember Travixen will be taking to the stage, and the much-loved high-kicking singer-songwriter MC Jas Nisic will be hosting, introducing a variety of amazing performers from the burlesque, music and poetry worlds.

Created by the multi-award-winning theatre maker Selina Helliwell, Ember & the Vixens have built a loyal following and enjoyed a string of sell-out shows. The company have experienced huge success with their previous burlesque takeovers of Manchester Art Gallery – most recently, with their Christmas show ‘Festive Foxes’. They’ve also presented a ‘Belated Birthday Special’ cabaret and a Halloween-themed ‘Creepy Cabaret’ to thrilled audiences across the city. Now, this February, we’re poised and ready for Valentine’s Vixens – another exquisite evening of first-class entertainment.

Theatre in the North

Theatre across the North West splits between festive escape and sharp, urgent work exploring politics, power and resistance.

Exhibitions in the North

This season, exhibitions across the North West feel attuned to the world beneath the world – the forces and stories shaping how we see, feel and imagine.
