Join Seven Stories (The National Centre for Children’s Books) on their Creative Writing Workshop: It’s a magical (wonderful) world for a journey into literary discovery. Your tots will become budding writers for the morning and learn about world-building, harness their creativity, and turn out-of-this-world ideas into pen-on-paper stories.

Run by two writers from the Children’s Literature Unit at Newcastle University, Stephanie and Lauren are both bursting with terrific tips and tricks for throwing out the rule book, shrugging off tales from yesteryear and making room for all that’s new.

As they put it… “step into a magical universe of your own creation.” Which sounds like an excellent way to spend a Saturday.

Tickets are £10 per household. This event is aimed at children age 7-11 and their families. Younger siblings are welcome to join in but may need extra adult support.

This is an online event and will be delivered via Zoom. You’ll need to download the app and create a Zoom account before the session. The meeting link and joining instructions will be sent by email after booking.
