Ariel Lanyi was born in Jerusalem in 1997 and came to this country to study at the Royal Academy of Music in London. He graduated earlier this year. With a burgeoning international reputation, he won 3rd Prize (The Roslyn Lyons Bronze Medal) at the Leeds International Piano Competition, performing Brahms Concerto No.2.

He will be playing two works in this lunchtime piano recital:

MOZART: Piano Sonata in G, K.283
BEETHOVEN: Piano Sonata No. 29 in B♭, Op. 106 (Hammerklavier)
