Poet Jennifer Lee Tsai invites you to join her as she explores the library of the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art, and uses the findings to create new work in an inclusive and friendly poetry workshop. Participants will write their own poetic work in response to the archive with encouragement and guidance from Jennifer.

Creativity in the workshop will be fueled by CFCCA’s comprehensive and in depth collection of books and materials surrounding Chinese Contemporary art. Their archive documents CFCCA’s contribution to the progression of art and artists since 1986.

In response to the unique library, themes of migration, inheritance and identity will be explored in the poetry workshop. This theme is one that Jennifer has tackled previously in her own work and something she explores with a conscious sensitivity. Held in the Jasmine Suite at CFCCA the workshop aims to be an open space that encourages you to write freely.
