‘Tis the season for getting crafty, whether we’re able to do it in person or not. ArtMCR are bringing their Alcohol Ink Christmas Baubles workshop to you. Join tutor Adam as he talks you through the process and helps you create some alternative and striking baubles online.

a fun and versatile medium to work with

After signing up, you’ll be posted a kit containing: 3 alcohol inks (one colour metallic), Cleaner, 2 sheets of Yupo Paper, 4 clear baubles to decorate as well as an apron, gloves and a protective sheet. The session will begin with an introduction to alcohol inks and why they are such a fun and versatile medium to work with. Adam will share top hints, tips and techniques, allowing you to experiment and play with the inks as well as developing some design ideas. You’ll then move onto creating your own four baubles to adorn your Christmas tree with.

As the previous workshop residents at Cass Art in the Northern Quarter, ArtMCR have continually been inspiring people to explore their expressive side. Check out their website, as they are hosting a whole range of workshops to enjoy from the comfort of your own home. In addition to the Alcohol Ink Christmas Baubles, you can make wooden Christmas ornaments as well as taking part in acrylic and watercolour workshops. These artistic experiences are a great way to stay connected and creative over the winter months.
