Liverpool’s historic Sefton Park once again hosts two days celebrating the music and culture of Africa and the Caribbean this June.

Africa Oyé marked its 25th anniversary year in 2017, with the event subsequently shortlisted for Promoter of the Year at the UK Festival Awards. It promises to return in 2018 bigger than ever – as over 50,000 people visit the park to enjoy live music, DJs, dance, workshops, food and traders in the Oyé Village.

The 2018 line-up features Ghana’s Grammy-nominated Rocky Dawuni and ‘the oldest active African orchestra’ Orchestre Poly-Rythmo, as well as Guinea-Bissau musician and singer Nifeco Costa, Kasai Masai from DR Congo and Son Yambu, who play Cuban ‘Son’.
