Get out the bunting, our favourite mucky video night out is back, and this third edition lands with a metaphorical bang on Thursday 8th September at Grub’s Chapeltown Picturehouse. The previous two events have been two of the most unique and belly-achingly funny comedy events of the year. Odds on this’ll be another gem.
A selection of some of the most exciting comedy shorts out there
Fresh from storming Edinburgh Festival, Chris Cantrill (half of The Delightful Sausage and a tour de force stand-up comic in his own right) is back with his chum, filmmaker Sam O’Leary (Inside No.9, Question Team, Witch Fever music vids) to showcase more bizarre, hilarious and brilliant short films at Grub, the most reliable laughterhouse in all of Manchestershire.
In what’s fast becoming a Manchester institution, this eclectic night brings together unforgettable short films from all around the Internet from hotly tipped emerging talent and already established legends. This show will feature shorts from the likes of David Firth, Patti Harrison, Greig Johnson, Joe Cappa, Jack Stauber and so much more.
When asked for comment, Chris said “we’re just going to play Con Air from start to finish and if anyone says owt we’ll just trash the place.” Sam said “yeah” and took a drag on these little nifty Indian ciggies he got off the internet. Pathetic.
This one-of-a-kind experience is proving to be quite the hot little ticket, so book yours now to avoid feeling like a big idiot.
