Great news for all you mucky pups, everyone’s favourite adult video night is back and this time it’s a Valentine’s special. Held on the Thursday before 2023’s big big love day, it’s odd on the Adult Film  Club crew will have a host of loved-up, sentimental Hallmark-inspired vids for us.

It’s not mucky and it’s certainly not mushy

Or maybe not. If you’ve been before you’ll know that Adult Film Club is not mucky and it’s certainly not mushy, but it is mind-expandingly unique and belly-achingly funny. Basically, this eclectic night brings together unforgettable short films from all around the internet from hotly-tipped emerging talent and already-established legends.

It’s the brainchild of Chris Cantrill (half of The Delightful Sausage and Creative Tourist’s official favourite stand-up comedian) and filmmaker Sam O’Leary (Inside No.9, Question Team, Witch Fever music vids). They’ve recently put on Adult Film Club for the BBC in Newcastle-Upon-Tyne and for the debut show of 2023, they’ve curated an extra special romantic line-up including David Firth, Caitlin McCarthy, Foxdog Studios and Joel Haver.

Co-Founder of Adult Film Club, Chris Cantrill said of the first show in 2023, “The people of Manchester have shown a predilection for loitering and an insatiable thirst for internet pornography, so it’s our blessed honour to provide them with a welcome distraction.” At which point Adult Film Club’s other Co-Founder Sam O’Leary bounced into the room on a space hopper, no doubt because it’s ‘cool’.
