This summer, Aviva Studios transforms into a skater’s paradise when Build Manchester roll back into town with adidas Skateboarding. You’ll find a custom-built public skate plaza – complete with fresh obstacles – setting the stage for a free, high-energy programme celebrating skate culture in all its forms.

Across two wonderful weeks, there’ll be open-to-all contests, prize-winning video comps, skate schools, hands-on workshops, exhibitions, film premieres – plus, the chance to watch adidas’ global team riders in action. Manchester’s leading skate collectives will also be front and centre, bringing the scene’s creativity and community spirit to life.

It all kicks off with a launch party (2 August from 3:00 pm) packed with live music, open skate jams, mural painting, screen printing and giveaways – the perfect way to roll into summer.
